Krrish music review soundtrack cd songs The Krrish music is finally out! The Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish is the sequel to the bollywood blockbuster Koi…Mil Gaya. Krrish is the most awaited film of the year along with Aamir Khan’s Fanaa. So when the father-son duo returns with a sequel the expectations are certainly high. You won’t need rocket science to understand how important a film’s soundtrack is for a bollywood movie. Krrish soundtrack provides a mixed response to the high expectations. The music has been composed by Rajesh Roshan. The album starts with ‘Pyar Ki Ek Kahani’ sung beautifully by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Goshal. The video for the song is out as well and Hrithik’s hairdo is simply sweet! The song is a typical Rajesh Roshan product with a catchy backdrop to it along with simple lyrics and great performances by both the singers. The next song, ‘Koi…Tumsa Nahin’ is sung by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Goshal again. The song doesn’t really appeal too much. By the end of this track you start feeling cheated why you purchased this album! Udit Narayan jumps onto the scene with ‘Chori Chori Chupke Chukpe’ along with Shreya Goshal again. Is this the Krrish soundtrack or a Shreya Goshal private album?! The song is hopeless again. The next track is ‘Dil Na Diya’ sung well by Kunal Ganjawala. The song starts off pretty well until you really hear the whole song and you wonder why are there songs in a bollywood movie anyhow?! A purely unwanted, full of nonsense song makes me wonder again, why did I purchase this baby? The next track cools me down. ‘Mein hoon woh Aasman’ by Rafaqat Ali Khan and Alka Yagnik is a slow song with a dash of soul. Just five songs into the Krrish music and my eardrums sense some remix already! So the soundtrack actually has only five tracks and includes ‘Big Band Mix’ and ‘Mystic Love Mix’. Both of them sound worse than their titles.

So on the whole the Krrish music isn’t worth the effort of going all the way to the store, picking out the CD, choosing to purchase the soundtrack and paying for it. Add to that the idiotic cover design, it scared the hell out of me! What happened to the gold old dashing Hrithik?! Doesn’t he look good with some clothes on?!

So Ishy’s verdict, bunk this one. If you’re a die hard Hrithik fan or a Krrish fanatic then borrow it from your friends who’ve already made the stupid decision of purchasing the Krrish music cd. For me, I’m loading the Fanaa CD back to the CD player!
