Marriages: Love or arranged? Marriages was the word of the day today! I ended up discussing about the topic with almost anyone with whom I had a conversation today. So when we talk about marriages we think about the two options, love or arranged. I believe love is like an accident, it just happens and you have no control over it. So there’s nothing much you can do about it, if you’ve fallen in love, a love marriage is the only way out. On the other hand, an arranged marriage is like a pre planned cold blooded murder where you have no idea who th victim would be. The murder is totally planned along with each and every detail well in advance. The groom hunts for his victim leaving no stone unturned to find the best suitable victim. The search goes on from online matrimonial ads to newspaper ads. Finally responses arrive, meetings are relished with kilos of sweets, the victim is selected and the mission accomplished!
So Love or arranged? Everyone no matter whom tries their hand at love throughout their entire lives. Starting from the puppy love at school to the infatuation at college to the serious affairs later on, we try our best to fall in love. Only a few lucky souls manage to find the true love they’ve been looking for. The rest have no option but to opt for an arranged marriage. So in a way we don’t really get to choose! Do we?
