Sad news for colaholic people like me. Someone has once again made a fuss about the presence of pesticide levels in our favorite soft drinks. No way out I now have to give up the great tasting Coca Cola, Pepsi, Sprite and Mountain Dew! Until and unless the companies wake up once again with some new flashy commercials ringing a bell in my head that their drinks follow the highest international standards and are safe enough to drink.

I can bet the water we’re served by the MC isn’t any better. The only thing is that it hasn’t been tested as yet. So the attention shifts to the new alternative. Where do we go from here? The parliament has another reason to raise the noise levels on live national television. The cola companies have dropping sales graphs to take care of instead of crappy advertisements. The store owners will also suffer from the decrease in sales. The ultimate losers like me would really need to find something reliable now. So what do we drink now?

Water quenches thirst. It isn’t very tasty. Cola is out of the way now. Juice isn’t tempting enough except for some premium Apple juice. I just love those! Alcohol is something still very alien to girls like me. Though I have tried out beer on a number of occasions but I have failed to find a reason why guys are so crazy about it. Moreover you can’t drink the darn thing in the open. It’s not like a soft drink which you can drink right out of the bottle at the store itself. Try it once and you’re the next most stared thing after Nisha Kothari and Rakhi Sawant.

We could try out beer in Mountain Dew or Sprite bottles. That should work just fine! There are a couple of imported cola cans available from as far as Dubai and US. We could get some fizz from there though they are a bit expensive. Cold coffee is another alternative this summer. For a poor young soul it’s going to be a hard long summer without our favorite cola. So let’s just accept the fact and get on with our little lives. That’s what we always do. Something happens. We curse the news. We curse the government. We forget about it. We start drinking cola again! Until then piyo thanda jiyo thanda! I mean water of course!
