Movie Review: Khosla Ka Ghosla

Posted by: Harry

Khosla Ka Ghosla movie posterSo when college decided to set us free we didn’t look behind. We decided to elope. Only this time we had ourselves to run away with. Off we go and after a few calls and a jerky ride on a Punjab Roadways bus we finally landed on our destination. Woh Lamhe was the obvious choice but theatre schedules made it forbidden. Left with not much of a choice we decided to play with Khosla KA Ghosla. I expected the movie to be a normal attempt at comedy but it surely proved me wrong. It’s way too much better than just that!

Khosla Ka Ghosla Movie ReviewFrom start till the end the movie doesn’t let you get up for a bag of popcorns. That’s one reason why I remained hungry for the whole time! The story has been well set with a realistic touch on each and every details. Anupam Kher plays Mr. KK Khosla who finds himself on the verge of losing his newly bought plot in Delhi. The police is helpless, the laywers are discouraging and so is the property dealer who sold off the plot to him. Boman Irani is amazing again though I felt he wasn’t used to the full potential. Vinay continues to inspire with his ability to deliver humor the way it’s supposed to be. He was awesome in Pyaar Ke Side Effects (a must watch!) and he’s brilliant here too! The rest of the cast is good enough. Tara Sharma is plain noise.

The best part of watching movie with your friends (read just guys) is that you don’t need to worry about anything and you can just enjoy your movie. You can enjoy sitting in the front row (I was in the second!), laugh out loud, talk on the cell phone, make your legs comfortable, yawn and munch a packet of chips. Today was the first time I saw a few couples sitting on the cheaper seats in the front rows. Now that’s something new to me! Anyways come back to the movie and it’s a total timepass. Watch it with your friends, watch it in the front row, shout (no i don’t do that), whistle (i’m a good chap) and yawn (I don’t do that either!).

Rating: ★★★★☆

Movie Review: Pyaar Ke Side Effects

Posted by: Priya

Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose in Pyaar Ke Side EffectsIf you’ve been expecting another bluff from Mallika Sherawat’s candy sweet kitty, you’re wrong. This one is tolerable. More than that, it’s better than expected. So here’s a 10 point review of the movie.

1. Mallika Sherwat is hot.
2. Mallika is better with lesser clothes.
3. Mallika is real. (Silicon is undefined in her primary memory)
4. Mallika can dance.
5. Mallika can act.
6. Mallika can propose a guy.
7. Mallika can deliver dialogues quite well.
8. Mallika’s cleavage is better than Sophie’s.
9. Mallika has a lot of fat. Though it’s not ugly.
10. Oh! I almost forgot. Rahul Bose is also in the movie.

Movie Preview: JP Dutta’s Umrao Jaan

Aishwarya Rai as Umrao Jaan movie trailersIt seems like an year of remakes and sequels. One after the other Bollywood is simply following the chase for a could-be blockbuster by cashing in on the old-is-gold mantra. While Lage Raho Munnabhai is rocking the nation some sequels didn’t really work out for the director’s cup of coffee.

No matter. If a sqeuel sounds risky Bollywood has it’s way with remakes. Farhan Akhtar is tight lipped about his latest flick Don which is a remake of the old classic. We’ll get more on that soon! Adding fire to the belly is the latest to hit the national televisions with a slick promo is J.P Dutta’s latest Umrao Jaan. Aishwarya stars as Umrao Jaan and along with her is the dashing Abhishek Bachan. The film is a remake of the old classic with the same title. Umrao Jaan earlier starred Rekha in the lead role. The trailers have hit the idiot boxes and the viewers are already excited. Everybody’s eyeing the music of the film which should release soon anytime now!

Lage Raho Munnabhai Review Generally we make an assumption or get influenced about a film by reading the review of it. Newspaper and media always says it’s a good film, 3 or 4 stars. Somehow I like public opinion, by knowing it through people whom I know. And that’s what I like about Lage raho Munnabhai. 1st thing – better than 1st part. Something that you hardly listen when talks about movies sequel (now a days-making sequels is also common). 2nd this film is just not ‘comedy’, it gives moral message too.

So here starts Lage raho Munnabhai review. This film start with Dadagiri, Bhai log but ain’t Bhai word itself talk about bhaichara? So our heroes are just not Mumbai goon but also very good friends. Who helps each other, share secrets and says ‘sorry’ too. And not a faking kind of with emotional chord that will surely bring tears to a emotional touchy friend. This film is about friendship.

Movie Preview: Dhoom 2

Dhoom 2 banner screenshots preview wallpaper Vrrooom! No that’s not the next door guy’s bike circling around your peaceful residence breaking all silent noise barriers across your place but that’s exactly how Yash Raj Films stunned the movie goers with their blockbuster movie Dhoom. The thrill is coming back this season all over again with even more wild chases, bikini skin tease, hot looks and that super glossy touch! Hrithik Roshan, Bipasha Basu and Aishwarya Rai would join the Dhoom saga with this sequel with John Abraham and Esha Deol taking some rest.

The trailers for the movie which is scheduled for a release this Diwali are out on the internet. Dhoom 2 will certainly light up to the amazing diwali fireworks along with Salaam-E-Ishq, Don and Umrao Jaan. Sequels are now being taken as a safer bet to cash in on the movie’s reputation and previous sales. Dhoom 2 comes jam packed with more stunts that promise to make your eyes glued to the screens for a while. The film also stars Abhishek Bachan and Uday Chopra. Well I’m waiting for the Dhoom 2 music to be released. I hope the music would be a rocking one as it was with the original movie. Hrithik is playing the bad guy as John did previously and rumour has it that the film doesn’t flash bikes as they did last time. Did they run out of gas?!
