marriages love or arrangedIt seems like a hot favorite topic of discussion today. It has always been. You can spend ages discussing the pros and cons of love and arranged marriages. Love marriage has it’s own several advantages over arranged and love marriages is more preferred amongst guys and girls today. Arranged marriage scores when you’ve spent all your youth studying, being mamma’s son, following dad’s business chases or just been unlucky finding the perfect match. Whatever be the excuse we tend to justify anything as per our own taste. It’s a fluid concept.

So here’s your chance. Single, married, marrying or whatever be your status feel free to speak your heart out. Your opinion counts. Your opinion matters. Let’s see what everyone feels about the topic.

My top 5 addictions!

Posted by: Priya

It’s official. I’m addicted. Please guide me through a de-addiction camp as soon as possible. I’m so helpless right now. Here are my top 5 addictions currently!

Burgers

No matter how much junk food calories I swallow in a day I still love the jumbo burgers with crispy fries, self made club sandwiches, Mc Donald’s burgers, KFC’s fried chicken and my list is endless.

Coca Cola Cold drinks

Pesticides or not cola is a must have. I still love that great Coca Cola taste and believe in their we-are-safe commercials. I’m not done until I have my 600ml of Coke everyday. It’s fattening, it’s killing and yet it’s so addictive.

Coffee with TarunCounting my personal experiences I was certainly not made for love. Or was it the other way around? I don’t care! For every time I try my hand, expensive clothing and new perfumes at the pathetic inventions called dating, I fail big time. No it’s you it’s me. Actually it’s just you. Yes you! You that ignorant, stupid, mysterious guy with no idea and every time it’s you who rings a bell at my dating doors. For now it’s time to put a do not disturb sign at that door for a long long time. Since I don’t have a good luck finding the right type of guys I feel like snatching some experienced committed guys who’re already in a relationship. (Harry beware!)

Somehow there’s nothing called innocence left in guys anymore. No offence to anyone. Guys are more interested in girlfriends than in a girl. What’s the difference? One, a girlfriend is defined as the sexy beast who goes out with you, has coffee with you, let’s you hold her hand during movies, fills in for you each time you’re bored and have extra bucks left on your pre-paid calling cards, makes the most of your bike’s backseat, provides you with a i-am-not-single and i-have-a-girlfriend status. Two, a girl is defined as the one who’s innocent, seedhi-saadhi, traditionally dressed up, talks less, can cook, shuts up when you shout at her and marries you. So you have fun with the girlfriend and marry the girl. Ofcourse you expect the girl to be untouched (sick!), germ free and totally pre-programmed robotic human.

Dude, where’s my love?

single high school student datingSad enough life isn’t a Ricky Martin concert and high school isn’t an Enrique’s touching track. Finding love remains a total fanstasy. For love is still a topic as hard to grasp as organic chemistry (actually I can still understand the latter). My and probably billions of other high school students like me are concerned more about how love makes our forty something parents blush at the mere mention of the sweet word. Good enough we have a lot of Bollywood archives lying in our drawers to draw an inspiration from. If it hadn’t been for Bollywood, half of the country wouldn’t have been in love, half of them in love wouldn’t have been sacrificing enough and the remaining wouldn’t have sung duets running around trees (they don’t really do that in real life, do they?).

Some fools wearing stupid clothes with funny accents and a whole lot of moolah in their hidden bank accounts that make up the so called government could ban the topic of love and relationships in movies as well. They’ve done it to smoking, they’ll carry on with drinking and soon we’ll have a guy and a girl sitting miles away simply text messaging romantic numbers to each other. That would be the age of binary love in Bollywood with ‘fully approved by the Government of India’ attached in a golden colored font at the bottom. It appears finding love is going to be an uphill task my lazy ass is going to get annoyed with. Why isn’t love like a pill you could swallow in a moment? Why do we still have to chase chicks in the park, at school, at canteens?
